Inspiration, entertainment, powerful stories and did we say great food?

Large crowds enjoy the Shoreline experience

Big crowds and a big stage

Takes a lot of song leaders to fill this stage

Packing a picnic and looking for a seat

Summer Interns introduced at the Shoreline

More interns being introduced

Trying to get all the summer interns in the picture
Psalm 126: 2
Our mouths were filled with laughter, our tongues with songs of joy. Then it was said among the nations, "The LORD has done great things for them."
It happened again Sunday June 13th at the Shoreline Amphitheatre, Northern California’s premier outdoor concert venue. The Bay Area Christian Church (BACC) hosted its 16th annual ‘Shoreline Service’ with family and friends attending from as far away as Napa, Stockton, Monterey and every Bay Area County in between. The theme “Defying Gravity – Imagine” was the driving force behind inspiring sharing, performances and biblical preaching. It was obvious that the future of the Bay Area Christian Church remains bright and full of promise as thirty two summer campus and Y- interns were introduced during the service. These summer interns will be receiving extensive leadership training and spiritual development to prepare them for numerous leadership roles going forward. Seven of these interns shared powerful personal stories of Defying Gravity, inspiring those in attendance to imagine God making the impossible, possible. Summer interns, Shaterica Sullivan and Chiara Marquez started our sharing focused on God’s amazing work among the women in the Bay Area Christian Church. College students William Eleazer and David Motamed, both volunteers in our e-sports program, shared from their personal experiences the impact e-soccer has played in their lives throughout middle school and high school. Finally, summer interns Mike Allem, Christina Cortez, and Mark Madden did an outstanding job inspiring us through personal stories of how deep conviction and faith in God, allowed them to overcome difficult life challenges – Defying Gravity. Tying it all together was our own Russ Ewell, who gave five compelling reasons why you should make the BACC your church. Throughout, the service powerful entertainment elevated the inspiration level. But the highlight of the entertainment was the newly formed BACC Glee closing out the service with the song from the Bay Area band Journey, “Don’t Stop Believing.” Hours later, thousands were still picnicking and enjoying the beautiful Shoreline Amphitheatre’s atmosphere. A day full of inspiration and great family memories proving once again why the Shoreline service is one of our favorite event.
