Haiti Relief Efforts: Update #3
Saturday January 16th 2010 8:58pm – I received the following e-mail from Randy Jordan from Hope World Wide after receiving an update from Dr. Mark Ottenweller. Special thanks to Randy for passing on information as it is received.
Dear Stone and friends,
I just spoke with Dr. Mark Ottenweller who arrived with Stanley Dumornay about an hour ago in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic. They have already made contact with the disciples in the Dominican Republic and are making plans to convoy into Port-Au-Prince tomorrow. It is likely that they will travel initially with smaller vehicle to avoid attention for security reasons. It may take an extra day for them to get across the border, but they have been blessed by being joined by Wagner Mendez, a disciple in the Dominican Republic with many years experience working for the U.S. government. Once arrangements are made to securely receive supplies, additional trips will likely be made. Both Mark and Stanley have satellite phones and will be communicating about their progress.
Many thanks to all, including the Bay Area Christian Church, for supporting the disciples in Haiti during these challenging times.
