"Ignite The Dream" Summer Campus Retreat 2009 Wrap Up

This past weekend, 170 high school and college students from all over the Bay Area convened at the Santa Clara Marriott for our first Summer Campus Retreat, entitled “Ignite the Dream.” 

Students came together to inspire and challenge one another to develop the heart, friendships and character to live for something greater than themselves. There were inspiring performances and personal life sharing from college students Christian Trifforiot and Christina Cortez about how they made decisions to become Christians, and how it has changed their families, their character in school and their relationships.  Many friends were moved to make decisions to pursue God.

“I was very inspired about building character and changing who I am internally,” commented one of the students.  Another student remarked: “I was really relating when the guy was talking about how selfishness steals your dreams.  I really want help knowing how to overcome that.”  One college student was so inspired he went home and shared his life with his dad, who was very impacted himself and decided to see what church was about the following day.
